Dorice LeBlanc

Dorice LeBlanc, 85, of St-Joseph, (Memramcook, NB), passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 22nd, 2012 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center.

Born on April 8th, 1927 in Memramcook-East, NB, she was the daughter of the late Dominique and the late Celestina (née: Saulnier) LeBlanc.

Mrs. LeBlanc was first and foremost a devoted mother to her entire family. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting, quilting and listening to music and was a dedicated parishioner of Saint-Thomas parish in Memramcook.

She is survived by four daughters: Rachelle (Jean-Marcel) Daigle of Pointe-Sapin, Jeanita (Ovila) Cormier of Old Shediac Rd., Dénise (Jérôme) LeBlanc of La Montain and Azèle (Léo) Robichaud of Cormier’s Cove; five sons: Noël (Annette) of Scoudouc, Jean-Paul (Simonne Girouard) of La Montain, Léo-Paul of McGinley, Roger (Charline) of La Montain and Médard (Nicole Caissie) of St-Joseph; four sisters: Corinne (late Ulysse) Leger and Léonie (late Louis) Gould, both of Dieppe, Jeanita (late Gérard) Dupuis of Memramcook-East and Pamela (late Adélard) of Breau Creek; three sisters-in-law: Maria, Louise and Eva; eleven grandchildren: Raoul, Brian, Serge, Mathieu, David, Noël, Mélanie, Stéphane, Michel, Nicole and Danika; four great grandchildren: Mario, Sébastien, Milaine and Justin; and a fifth great granddaughter expected in February as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Vital in 2010; one infant son, Roger; three sisters: Dorilda, Rita and Lorraine and also by five brothers: Émile, Arthur, Léo, Frank and Hervé.

Visitation will be held from Dupuis Funeral Home, 15 Route La Vallée, Memramcook, on Friday December 28 from 2 to 3 pm.

Funeral mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame de l’Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d’En-Haut, on Friday December 28th, 2012 at 4 pm.

Interment in Saint-Thomas Parish Cemetery, Memramcook, NB.

Donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation "Palliative Care Unit" or Extra-Mural would be appreciated by the family.

The family would like to thank Azèle, Léo, Nicole and Médard for the wonderful care given to "Mame" and also a warm thank you to the doctors and staff of the Dumont hospital for the compassion and caring attention given.
