Herman (Armand) Cormier

At the Résidence-Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur (Dieppe), on Sunday, November 4th passed away Herman Cormier at the age of 94. Born in Pré-d’en-Haut on April 20 1924, he was the son of the late Louis Cormier and the late Séraphine Richard.

His career was in the field of construction throughout the Atlantic provinces. He retired from Architects 4 and remained active doing projects in the community and for those who sought his expertise.

An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed woodworking projects as well. Gardening was also an important part of his life.

He leaves to mourn his children Victor (Sylvain) and Franscine Anderson (Boyd); two grandchildren: Michèle (Serge) and Eric (Jenny); four great grandsons: Olivier, Philippe, Christian and Dave; his brothers and sisters: Zella (late Arthur)(late Gérald) Landry, Claude (Claudette), Richard (Roseline); sisters in law: Claudia, Doris and Rose; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by his wife (Rosalia); brothers and sisters: Emery (Doris), Gérald (Rose),  Aldérice (late Doris), Sister Irène and Norma (late Arthur) Gautreau.

Friends and relatives are welcome at the Salon Funéraire Dupuis in Memramcook on Thursday November 8th from 2 to 4PM. The Funeral service will follow at 4PM. A private internment ceremony will be held at the Notre-Dame-de-l’Annonciation parish cemetery in Pré-d’en-Haut.
