Philomon Bourgeois

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Philomon Bourgeois at the age of 76 on Sunday, January 20th, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre surrounded by his family. Born in Pré-d’en-Haut, he was the son of late Amable and Laura (LeBlanc Cormier) Bourgeois.

Electrician by trade, he worked at the Université de Moncton for over 35 years. Husband, father, grand-father and friend, Philomon touched the lives of many through a helping hand, support or encouragement.

He leaves to mourn his wife of 54 years Jeannine (born Belliveau); two children, Thérèse (Paul Bérubé) Cornwall Ontario and Daniel (Stéphanie Couture) Pré-d’en-Haut; two grand-children Michelle and Marc, his four sisters Rita (Aurèle Belliveau) Pré-d’en-Haut, Florence (late Valerie Bourque) Moncton, Aline (Albert Cormier) Waltham Mass and Dorine (Gérard Boudreau) Pré-d’en-Haut and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Thérèse and a brother Edgar.

Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Wednesday January 23 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday January 24 from 9 to 10 am. Funeral mass will be held at Notre Dame de l’ Annonciation church, Pré-d’en-Haut on Thursday January 24 at 11 am.

We wish to thank his friends, neighbours, family and all those who cared and supported him during his illness.
