Alexis Cormier of Memramcook passed away on Friday May 1, 2020 at the CHU Dr. Georges L. Dumont at the age of 59. Born on October 12, 1960 in Haut du Ruisseau, he was the son of Malcolm and Yolande Cormier. He worked at Belliveau Orchard. Alexis was a big hearted man and always had a smile on his face. Everyone who knew him knows that he had a big passion for horses, attending and participating to horse pulls all around NB, NS and PEI. Another of his passion was organizing his annual wagon rides and sleigh/hay rides for people from all around. He also enjoyed participating in Santa Claus Parades around the area and he also participated in the Fall Fair in Sackville. We know that he will be greatly missed by his evenings at Tim Horton’s and Patterson’s Family Restaurant. He will be sadly missed by his mother Yolande, his wife Angela, his son, Mac (Shelley), two grandchildren, Savannah and Tristan, four sisters, Murielle of Shediac, Francine of Memramcook, Suzanne (Roy) of Dieppe and Charline (Nelson) of Shediac, two brothers, Edmond (France) and Jean (Hélène) of Quebec and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Malcolm and a niece Aleisha. In light of the current coronavirus pandemic and at the request of the family, there will be private funeral. Interment will be held in the St-Thomas de Memramcook parish cemetery, St-Joseph.
