Aurela Cormier of Memramcook passed away on Saturday May 18, 2019 at the CHU Dr. Georges L. Dumont at the age of 93. Born on February 27, 1926 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Aurele and Olida (Leger) LeBlanc. She was a teacher in the schools in Memramcook for 16 years. She will be sadly missed by her five daughters, Monique (Camille) Gaudet of Moncton, Marianne (Regis) Cormier and Suzanne (Reynald) DesRoches of Cormier’s Cove, Rosaline Cormier (Bert Beek) of Ripples, and Louise Cormier (Georgina Short) of Mount-Pearl, Newfoundland, two sons, Pierre (Marjolaine Paulin) Cormier of Moncton and Georges (Nicole) Cormier of Cormier’s Cove, nine grandchildren, Julie Gaudet-LaPlante, Marc Gaudet, Sebastien Cormier, Luc Cormier, Benoît DesRoches, Jeremie DesRoches, Melanie Cormier, Isabelle Cormier and Katelynn Grover, three great grandchildren, Dominic LaPlante, Charlotte Gaudet, and Alex LeBlanc, three sisters, Hermance (late Edgar) Cormier of Halifax, Angela (Raoul) Melanson of Dieppe and Francine LeBlanc of Quebec, one brother, Rodolphe (Claire) LeBlanc of Grande-Digue, six sisters-in-law, Eveline (late Paul-Emile) Leblanc, Emma (Cleophas) Gautreau, Marie (Ralph) Saulnier, Jeannette (late Maurice) Boudreau, Yvonne (late Bernard) and Télorise (late Léo), one brother-in-law, Damien (Aline) Cormier, friend, Yvonne Daigle and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alonzo (1974), one son Marcel (1985), two sisters, Jeannita and Aline, and by six brothers, Dr. Paul-Emile, Ronaldo, Joseph, Normand, Bernard (infant) and Bernard. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Thursday May 23 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. Funeral mass will be held at the St-Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church on Friday May 24 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
