Aurele Landry

Aurele Landry of Memramcook Lake passed away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, on February 17, 2023 at the age of 93. Born in Moncton on February 2, 1930, he was the son of the late Adelard and Minnie (Bourgeois) Landry. He worked at the Université de Moncton (Library). He will be sadly missed by his wife Irene, two daughters Flo Landry of Moncton, Doris Rameau of Memramcook, one son Donald Landry of Memramcook, one sister, Anna Veilleux of Fitchburg, Mass, three grandchildren, Karen Landry, Kevin Landry and Linda (Mike) Laflamme, four great-grandchildren, Brandon Landry, Jayda Landry and Rosie (special dog), Jenna Laflamme and Juliana Laflamme, several nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by seven brothers Leo, Ernest, Gerard, Edgar, Freddie, Joe and Arsene.

His smile and unique humor always made people light up around him, he was always caring and very passionate about his family and friends. A very strong-willed man and the utmost dedicated and devoted person in all the things he did throughout his life. His memory will always be cherished. He was truly an amazing and remarkable person, inspiring us all to live to the fullest and we will remember every precious moment we had with him.

Pépère, thank you for all the memories you gave us, I know how lucky the kids and I were to have someone like you. You gave us so much love, you have no clue, always put a smile on our faces and made any day better … always so caring, kind and sweet. You are so special, God is going to bless you. We love you so so much and will forever miss you. From your chickadee ♥️

With his passing we pray to the Lord he is in a better place and filled with as much love as he’s given to us. We were blessed to have him in our lives and we will never forget him.

Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and 7:00 to 9:00 pm only. Funeral mass will be held at the St-Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
