Ella Dupuis

Ella Dupuis of Memramcook-East passed away on June 19, 2021 at the CHU Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont at the age of 98. Born in Memramcook-East on June 26, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John and Béatrice (Bourque) Melanson. Ella will be remembered as a loving, caring person who had many friends and had a zest of life. A few of her hobbies included going dancing, spending time at her camper, traveling, cooking and doing volunteer at nursing homes. She was also a member of the Golden Age Club of Pré-d’en-Haut. She is survived by one daughter Aline (Camille) Cormier of Dieppe, three sons Alonzo (late Jaqueline Poirier) of Shippagan, Rhéal (Hélène) of Dieppe, and Edouard (Majella Leger) of Grand-Barachois, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two sisters Agathe (late Clifford) Davis of Dieppe, Elizabeth Melanson of Barrie Ontario, three brothers Gerald of Moncton, Laurie of Memramcook-East and Dollard (Rita) of Dieppe and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Honoré, two daughters Juliette and Béatrice, one son Omer, three sisters Dorina, Jeannine and Dométhilde and by three brothers Fred, Lionel and Aurele. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Tuesday June 22 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. There will be a private funeral mass held at a later date. Interment will be held in the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes parish cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook.
