Geraldine Richard

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Géraldine Richard, 64, on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023, who died peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.

Géraldine has lived the past 26 years sharing her life with her partner, Francis. She dedicated her life to childcare and housekeeping for many families in the community. She loved cats and dogs. Geraldine was an avid reader and would spend endless hours painting clay figurines. She enjoyed attending musical events hosted by Les Belivo (Bois-Joli). When her health permitted her, she enjoyed going camping with friends and loved chasing yard sales. Anybody that knew Géraldine, knows that she had a profound love for her goddaughter (Julie) and her nephew (Jérémie), whom she treated as her own children. Now that they have their own children, she undertook them as her grandchildren, who she called "mes p'tits trésors" (Cédric, Mélodie, Chloé, Claire and Louis).

Géraldine was loved by all who knew her and will be remembered as a generous, kind, and loving woman.

Géraldine will be sadly missed by her longtime companion, Francis Auffrey (Frank), her brother Claude Richard (Linda) of Memramcook, sister Dorilla Cormier (Dollard) of Memramcook, her niece Julie Gautreau (René) of Dieppe, her nephew Jérémie Cormier (Julie) of Dieppe, her best friend Lisa Richard (Gilles) of Memramcook.

She was predeceasd by her father, Normand, mother, Lorette, one infant brother Louis.

Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Saturday September 16 from 9 to 11 am followed  by a service at the funeral home at 11:00 am
