Germaine Belliveau
Obituary
Germaine Belliveau of Résidence Beaux Souvenirs of Dieppe, formerly of Memramcook passed away at the CHU Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont, on March 3, 2023 at the age of 96. Born in Cocagne on January 23, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Florida (Babineau) Cormier. She will be sadly missed by her son Donald (Jeannine) Belliveau of Dieppe, one sister Yvonne (Don) McKay of Enfield, NS, one brother Ulric (Alida) Cormier of Bouctouche, two grandchildren, Rachel and Mario, and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Liam. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Laurie Belliveau, one son Francis (Lise), one grandchild Martin, one sister Elizabeth (late René) Babineau, two brothers, Camille (late Yvonne) and Father Yvon and by several nieces and nephews.
She was a school teacher until retirement. She was a member of the Société de l’histoire de Memramcook, Société des enseignants retirés, les Dames d’Acadie de Memramcook and the Club d’âge d’or de Memramcook.
There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the St-Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic parish cemetery. The family would appreciate a donation to the Arbre de l’espoir.
