Guy Poirier Obituary

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Guy Poirier, 86, of Memramcook on July 11, 2021 at the CHU Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital. Born in Memramcook on December 30, 1934, he was the son of the late Jacques and Leona (Leger) Poirier. He worked as a Pipefitter until his retirement. He was an avid sportsman (hockey and baseball). He enjoyed going for drives with his truck. He is survived by his wife Germaine, two daughters Nicole Poirier (Anne) and Jocelyne Poirier (Jean) of Dieppe, one son Michel (Josette) of Shediac, two grandchildren Christopher and Vanessa and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by nine brothers Bernard, Eugene, Jean-Paul, Dollard, Leonard, Georges, Gerard, Norbert and Robert. There will be no visitation and there will be a private funeral mass held at a later date. Interment will be held in the St-Thomas de Memramcook parish cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Dupuis Funeral home, Memramcook.
