Leandre Cormier

Leandre Cormier of Memramcook passed away at the CHU Dr. Georges L. Dumont on November 9, 2022 at the age of 79. Born in Haut du Ruisseau on October 8, 1943, he was the son of the late Athanase and Elizabeth (Doucet) Cormier. He worked as a laborer in many different construction sites but one that he was proud of was the Confederation Bridge that he worked for 2 years. He loved nature, gardening and going hunting and had a sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by his wife Lorette, one daughter, Susan (Charles) Cormier of Grand Barachois, two sons, Normand (Kelly) Cormier of London, ON and Gerard Cormier of Alberta, five grandchildren, Michael, April, Dominique, Henry and Simon, one great granddaughter, Emery and by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters, Freda (late Emery) LeBlanc, Yvonne (late Yvon) Cormier, Beatrice (late Robert) LeBlanc and Therese (late Elisé) Gautreau and three brothers, Albert (late Dora) Cormier, Aurele (late Lea) Cormier and Leo (Cheryle) Cormier. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Monday November 14 from 2 to 4 pm followed by a funeral service at 4 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held in St-Thomas de Memramcook cemetery, St-Joseph.
