Leo (Loon) Saulnier

July 30, 1934 ~ May 14, 2022 (age 87)


Leo (Loon) Saulnier of Domaine de la Vallée, Memramcook (formerly of Memramcook East) passed away at his residence on May 14, 2022 at the age of 87. Born in Memramcook East on July 30, 1934, he was the son of the late Amos and Annie (Melanson) Saulnier. He worked as a bricklayer until his retirement. After his retirement, he loved working in the woods and his garden. He had a sensitive heart, always optimist with a big smile, devoted to his family and loved going for a car ride with his family. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years of marriage Ena, his daughter Jolyne (Alain Parent) Saulnier of Dieppe, five grandchildren, Frederic, Samuel, Théo, Rafaëlle and Laurence, two sisters, Corinne (late Leonard) Dupuis of Dieppe and Genevieve (late Aurele) Bourgeois of Moncton, one brother Yvon (late Julia) Saulnier of Memramcook East and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters Loretta, Dorilla and Marguerite. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Wednesday May 18 from 1 to 2:30 pm. Funeral mass will be held at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Memramcook east on May 18 at 3:00 pm. Interment will be held in the  parish cemetery. Donations can be made to the Handi Bus. A special thank you to the staff of Domaine de La Vallée and Dr Coté for the great care Leo received during his 4 years he resided.
