It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda LeBlanc of Memramcook on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the CHU Dr. Georges L. Dumont at the age of 69. Born in Memramcook, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Annie (Richard) LeBlanc. Linda worked many years as a dental assistant. She lived in Quebec for close to 30 years with her husband Raymond and son Jérémie during which time she taught English as a second language to children and adults. In 2021, Linda and her husband were happy to permanently return to Memramcook to live their retirement years in her childhood home.
Linda loved music and loved to dance, particularly step dancing. She was a people person and had a natural way of making people feel comfortable and loved in her presence. She was very generous and kind; and enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends whom she loved dearly. Family was very important to her. Her son, Jérémie and granddaughter, Abby were the joys of her life. She was very proud of her son. She also had a special place in her heart for her childhood best friend, Dorine Goguen, her cousins Albert LeBlanc and Aline LeBlanc as well as Lisa (MacAusland) Jenkins and Trevor MacAusland whom she loved and treated as her own children.
Linda will be sadly missed by her husband of 31 years, Raymond LeBlanc, her son Jérémie LeBlanc (Johannie Beaudet) of Quebec, her precious grandchild, Abby of Quebec, her beloved sister, Debbie (Michel) of Shediac and several nephews and nieces.
Beside her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Jean-Guy and Bernard LeBlanc, one niece, Cindy LeBlanc and special friends Gerald and Julia (Saulnier) MacAusland.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home Ltd., Memramcook on Friday, November 17 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be held after visitations at 4 p.m. at the St-Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church, St-Joseph. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. Donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Society of New Brunswick or Parkinson Canada.
Special thanks to Dupuis Funeral Home, Dr. Renée Parker and Dr. Ghislain Lavoie, staff at the Gerontology unit at Chu Dr. George L. Dumont (3E), Father Emery Brien and to the Club d’âge d’or de Memramcook. Thank you to everyone who provided their support during this difficult time.
