Oswald (Ozzie) Belliveau passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday August 19 at the age of 78. Born in College Bridge, he was the son of the late Aimé Belliveau and Norma (LeBlanc) Ozzie is survived by his loving wife Edwina (Nye), sons David and Rob of Gaytons and daughter Sandra of Fredericton, precious grandchildren Jessica, Nicholas, Emily and great-granddaughters Madison and Charlie and great-grandson Bryce, his sister Alice (late Bernard), his brothers Allain, Alonzo (Denise), Gerald (Roselys), Fernand, sisters-in-law Angeline, Thérèse, and brother-in-law Sam. Ozzie was predeceased by his grandson Brian, his sisters Althea, Doris, and Majella, and his brothers Eugene and Arthur. Ozzie was the owner of Belliveau Construction in Plainville, Connecticut and after moving back home, Bellcon in Gaytons, as well as several other small businesses. He didn't know the meaning of the word "retire". Ozzie never met a stranger. Special thanks go to the Extramural staff and staff at Oncology Centre at Georges Dumont and all those who helped to make this past year more comfortable for Ozzie.
In keeping with Ozzie's wishes, there will be no funeral services. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Sunday, August 22, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
