Robert “Bob” George Kyle of Calhoon, NB passed away at the CHU Dr. Georges L. Dumont on Saturday July 29, 2023 at the age of 100. Born in Transcona, Manitoba on August 19, 1922, he was the son of the late Enos and Elizabeth (Mcvety) Kyle. He was a man of character and unwavering strength, decorated WWII veteran and a carpenter by trade. Beyond his service, Bob had a passion for harness racing and training horses that brought him immeasurable joy. It was as a father and grandfather that Bob’s love truly shone. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Lina (Reg) Steeves, one daughter-in-law, Brenda Kyle, grandchildren, Christa Kyle, Trudy Killiam (Trevor), Tasha Kyle (Allen), Troy Kyle (Sylvie) and Cherie Bannister (Steve), as well six greatgrandchildren, Austin, Dawson, John, Marissa, Jacob and Abbey and a dear friend Carmel Higgins. Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Marie (Jensen) Kyle and his son Douglas Kyle. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Thursday August 3 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. Interment will be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
